The Finance Committee
The Finance Committee is comprised of elected officials from the General Policy Board and is responsible for budget development and review as well as fiscal recommendations to the GPB.
In addition to these standing committees, the General Policy Board may also establish Ad Hoc Committees as needed to address specific needs. The GPB has created Ad Hoc Transportation Committees in the past for both Mahoning and Trumbull Counties. The Economic Development Subcommittee
The Economic Development Subcommittee is a subcommittee of Eastgate's General Policy Board, and is responsible for two important tasks in encouraging economic development in the two-county area. First, they provide overall guidance for the drafting of the regional economic development plan, and second, they establish the list of priority projects that may be submitted for funding to the Economic Development Administration. Any projects submitted for funding must be identified in the regional plan.
The Federal government, through the Economic Development Administration, has designated Mahoning, Trumbull and Ashtabula Counties as an Economic Development District. This designation permits local government within the District to qualify for a greater share of Federal funds to support economic development initiatives.
