Allison Ave Sewer Ribbon Cutting

The Board of Trumbull County Commissioners held a ribbon cutting dedication ceremony to announce the completion of the Allison Avenue Sanitary Sewer project. This project will enhance public infrastructure with the construction of a 2,574 linear foot sanitary sewer line in a Low-to-Moderate Income (LMI) area with failing septic systems and notices of health concern from the Trumbull County Health Dept. The project area includes all of Allison Avenue with portions of Woodside Drive and Knox Avenue in Champion and Warren townships. This project will serve 18 LMI residential homes and reduce the failed septic system discharge into the Mahoning River. The sewer project finished construction ahead of schedule and came in under budget.  The project had a total cost of $568,700 receiving a $170,000 Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) grant, $284,300 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), and $114,400 Ohio EPA WPCLF Loan.

Partners involved in bringing this project to a successful completion including Utility Contracting, Inc., Lynn, Kittinger & Noble, Inc., the Eastgate Regional Council of Governments, the Appalachian Regional Commission, the Governor’s Office of Appalachia, the Ohio Development Services Agency, the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency Division of Environmental and Financial Assistance, the Trumbull County Sanitary & County Engineer’s Offices and Champion and Warren Township officials.
