This week, Eastgate staff attended the Youngstown-Warren Regional Chamber's Annual Columbus Drive-In event. Executive Director Jim Kinnick, Director of Planning & Development Justin Mondok, ARC Program Manager Kathy Zook, and Economic Development Project Manager Mark Ragozine all attended and participated.
The annual event is a unique opportunity for Mahoning Valley leaders and representatives to hold meetings with and advocate for state funding and essential policies that will promote the continue growth and redevelopment of the region. This year, the valley contingent was able to hear from a number of influential state policymakers including Governor Mike DeWine, Lt. Governor Jon Husted, Senate President Matt Huffman, Senate Finance Chair Matt Dolan, and the Director of the Ohio Department of Development (ODOD) Lydia Mihalik.
The event was a great success and one that Eastgate looks forward to in its role as a regional planning organization, assisting the Chamber in its efforts to address regional problems and create opportunities for success in the valley.
