The Ohio Department of Transportation awarded the Western Reserve Transit Authority $296,357 to fund operations of two transit routes for one year in Trumbull County. Route 73-West and Route 74-Elm will be reinstated March 11, 2024. A 50% local match of $296,357 is required for this grant.The local match is financed by the City of Warren and the Trumbull County Commissioners.
To kick off the year of service, public officials will meet to ride WRTA’s Route 73 at 1:00 p.m. on March 11, 2024, at High Street NE and North Park Avenue in downtown Warren. All rides on WRTA buses are open to the public and free.
