Representatives from Eastgate, including Justin Mondok, Mark Ragozine, and Steve Kristan attended the Youngstown-Warren Regional Chamber’s 2024 D.C. Fly-In Event held from June 26-27. This yearly event presents a great opportunity for our region to speak with one voice, discuss key priorities, and talk about the challenges we face with federal legislators and their staff, agency department representatives, and other key stakeholders who can assist our region’s continued growth.
Eastgate staff were also able to make the most of their time in D.C. by prioritizing the region’s broadband goals and objectives, setting up discussions with various leaders from the USDA, ARC, and NTIA. These discussions proved to be very productive in getting a chance to familiarize folks with our region, the challenges we face, and the projects that we hope to get done over the short and long term to improve our region’s broadband.
We look forward to continuing to connect with leaders at the federal level to ensure our region is represented and that we are able to take advantage of any opportunities that will allow us to assist with the further development of broadband in communities that need it most.
