Representatives from Trumbull County MetroParks, Eastgate Council of Governments, Kent State Trumbull, Trumbull Career and Technical Center, Trumbull County Board of Developmental Disabilities, Champion Township and Trumbull County Engineer’s Offices are in the process of completing a non-motorized transportation plan along the Educational Corridor. We invite you to participate in the planning process by commenting on the plan by Thursday, October 31 , 2024.

The project is focused on providing a multi-purpose path located on Educational Highway NW and Research Parkway NW between Mahoning Avenue NW and Champion Avenue East in Warren, Ohio. The project will connect pedestrian and cyclists from SR45 to North River Road and the existing Western Reserve Greenway Bike Trail, while providing connectivity between Kent State University (Trumbull), Trumbull County Technical Center, Fairhaven Industries, and the future Mercy Health facility as well as other businesses within the site.
The grant is funded by a Planning Grant from the Eastgate Council of Governments in the amount of $10,800 and $1,200 is coming from local sources for a total cost of $12,000. Other Partners not in picture are Healthy Community Partnership, Fairhaven Industries and Mercy Health.
