SMAR2T Submitted

Eastgate Regional Council of Governments and its partners, including the City of Youngstown, Eastern Gateway Community College, Mercy Health, Western Reserve Transit Authority, Youngstown State University, and the philanthropic community, have submitted a $10.2 million request for the Youngstown SMAR²T Network. The Youngstown SMAR²T Network will reconstruct five streets around downtown Youngstown into safe and complete streets with pedestrian and bicycle amenities. It will also introduce a transit circulator that will more easily connect various employment centers and institutions. This project builds on over ten years of planning and investing in the Mahoning Valley’s economic core.
