Congressman Tim Ryan announced $19.2 million in federal funding for infrastructure in Ohio. Ryan secured the funds through the INVEST in America Act.

Among the projects receiving funding, Eastgate Regional Council of Governments will receive $4 million for improvements to the intersection of State Route 46 and Warren-Sharon Road in Howland Township.

"We are excited to be awarded $4 million dollars from the INVEST in America Act for the SR 46 and E. Market Street intersection," says Eastgate Executive Director Jim Kinnick of the funding. “we are very appreciative of Congressman Ryan for his support of this transformational project and all of our initiatives in the region.”

The INVEST in America Act has been approved by the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee and awaits additional action this summer in the House of Representatives and Senate.
