2020 Appalachian Ohio Return on Investment (ROI) Report Available

Oct 20, 2021
The newly released 2020 Appalachian Ohio Return on Investment (ROI) Report is now available. The report highlights the accomplishments of the Ohio Appalachian program as a combined effort from each of the four Local Development Districts.

The program is funded by the Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) and the Ohio Governor’s Office of Appalachia (GOA) to provide matching grant funds to fill a gap for eligible applicants in support of projects that meet federal and state program goals.

These projects are administered by Ohio’s four Local Development Districts (LDD). The LDDs are: Buckeye Hills Regional Council, Ohio Mid-Eastern Governments Association (OMEGA) , Ohio Valley Region Development Commission (OVRDC), and Eastgate.

In 2020, the Ohio LDDs administered 46 ARC projects with a total project investment of $71.9 Million which resulted in 614 new jobs and another 1,079 jobs retained in the region. Four projects administered by Eastgate in Ashtabula, Mahoning and Trumbull Counties are featured in the report. See our 2020 Return on Investment report for more information.
