For Commuters
GOHIOCOMMUTE.COM
Multiple options are available for commuters seeking to save money, improve their health, and work towards cleaner air. Gohio Commute offers carpool and vanpool matching services, along with identifying ideal routes to work. Other options include bicycle and walking commute options, along with public transit information.
Each user of Gohio Commute means one fewer car on the road, resulting in cleaner air for all of us.
Carpool
Carpooling saves money and frees up parking spaces. It is also a great way to get to meet people and build a rapport. Gohio Commute’s online ride-matching platform provides commuters with an easy to use, interactive, and free way to set up carpools.
Vanpool
Vanpools are a way for 5 to 15 people to get access to a van, complete with insurance, maintenance, and fuel. All members of the vanpool split the costs, keeping your commute affordable and stress-free. It’s a great option for groups of commuters who live and work near each other and have similar work schedules. Because a third party owns and maintains the vehicle, a vanpool can be an easy, turnkey solution for you and your fellow commuters.
Bicycle
If you already ride your bike to work, you may be familiar with its benefits. But if you’re new to bike commuting or are looking for more information, consider the following: It's healthier; it lowers your stress; it increases productivity; it saves money; and it improves air quality!
Walking
Walking is the easiest way to get to work – it requires no special equipment and it's free. All you need is a pair of shoes. Walking is great exercise, helps increase your productivity at work, frees you from the stress of traffic, and generates no carbon emissions. It also pairs great with other commute modes, like biking and public transit.
Public Transit
Whenever you hop aboard a bus or train, you can feel confident that your choice may lower your stress levels and your costs. Each transit rider also helps take another car off the road, which eases congestion and improves air quality. So sit back, relax, and let someone else do the driving.
Telecommuting
Depending on your company, telecommuting may be an option to allow you to fulfill your job responsibilities at a site other than the company's primary business location. By telecommuting, you can work from virtually anywhere. A typical telecommuter can have an easier time focusing on work if he or she creates a private, dedicated space for a home office and has easy access to everything needed for the job.
Guaranteed Ride Home
