Valley Vision Parks Plan

Eastgate’s efforts have been centered around finding efficiencies in the proposed process for evaluating and assessing existing park assets in both counties and leveraging Valley Vision funding by coordinating other similar activities being pursued by parks stakeholders in the region. This has led to utilizing data from the 2021 City of Youngstown Parks Assessment and collaboration with the Trumbull County Combined Health District parks assessment project. Eastgate also engaged the YSU Guin Fit, which provided capacity for park evaluations.

The Parks Assessments are on the map. You can click on individual parks to view assessment results. Please note that these are point in time assessments and conditions may have changed since the time of assessment. The parks are overlaid on the Social Vulnerability Index (SVI) which will be one of the criteria used in determining parks for additional planning work.
